False flag

I was using uTorrent the other day while chatting to a friend on the phone.

I noticed he had an American flag next to his IP,i was wondering if it was because he had his send random ID while checking for new versions box checked.

Could anyone tell me if this is so,im just interested

It has to do with name resolution.

I just disable Resolve IPs completely (right-click on top of them...or anywhere in the PEERS window.)

Bare ip addresses + port aren't false flagged...and if you want to know where that ip is, you can WHOIS it using a special internet search such as this one:
