bo093
I been downloading for a few weeks using uTP protocol.Sadly I put it on download on uTP and upload on uTP and TCP only.I had 1 torrent that had 5 seeders. 4 was TCP and 1 was uTP.Only got to connected uTP seeders. So basicly my download speed is pretty much low.If I change to TCP and uTP the download speed rise. But my other torrent drop. Because the other torrent where on uTP only which had lots of uTP connection. So maybe a option of "The ability to which torrent can use what protocol" could help with some people who have low seeders that on different client program that doesn`t have uTP.Thank you for reading
jewelisheaven
I don't think they want that. That's why Ctrl-P > Advanced > bt.transp_disposition is all-or-nothing. You choose TCP in/out and UDP in/out.
bo093
But then all my torrent will be throttle by my ISP.With the Selectable protocol Torrent A - Low seed - Connected with 1 uTP and 3 TCP = high speed. TCP and uTPTorrent B - High Seed - Connected with 40 uTP = High Speed. uTP onlyWithout the selectable protocol(uTP only)Torrent A - Low Seed - Connected with 1 uTP = Low SpeedTorrent B - High Seed - Connected with 40 uTP = High SpeedWithout the selectable protocol(TCP only)Torrent A - Low Seed - Connected with 3 TCP = High SpeedTorrent B - High Seed - Connected with 40 TCP = Low Speed
Switeck
You could make all the TCP connections you need on the first torrent THEN turn uTorrent to uTP mode only...as far as I know, uTorrent won't disconnect existing peers/seeds when you do.
