s-mac
The firewall was yellow, and I just downloaded 1.8.3 about 1 hour before I made that post so I assume it's the newest. This is on a college campus though, so I can't access the router or anything. Switeck
They're probably blocking BitTorrent traffic...maybe even going so far as blocking almost all unknown traffic as well!
s-mac
and there's no way to get through this?
Switeck
You will likely need to try 'extreme' hiding tricks:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=361747#p361747(Note: My post immediately following that one explains what settings in uTorrent are similar to the Azureus ones.)Disabling Resolve IPs probably won't hurt either...It might be worth trying a proxy or VPN as well. But the most likely results are you just need to get a real internet connection instead of a heavily filtered HTTP web browser one.
