Stan Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Hi!. I was wondering whats up with new this release. The problem I have is when the tracker is down this version stop all the traffic, all the download and upload. Something that doesnt happend with the previous version (1.8.2).I have tested both versions and I can confirm that 1.8.3 stop all the traffic. What I did to test this?. Simple, when downloading I literally unplug the modem and see what happend when I plug the modem again. 1.8.2 start all over again but 1.8.3 no.There is any way to sort this up or not?. Should I downgrade to 1.8.2?.A shame because seems like this new version has a better way to deal with the uTP protocol (uses a lot less of CPU and traffic)
DreadWingKnight Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Are the torrents you're using private flagged?
DreadWingKnight Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Then that is most likely the root cause.Does the problem persist with torrents that aren't private flagged such as openoffice torrents?
Ultima Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 I would think this behavior is indeed a regression, since you're able to demonstrate that 1.8.2 doesn't behave in this way. If it's a "feature" for private trackers only... well, I don't see any reason why the private flag should prevent connections when the tracker is down.
