AndyInBG Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Whenever I'm downloading (leeching), I am usually seeding pretty fast at the same time. When the download is complete, the seeding drops away to nearly zero. Why is this? Is it possible to get the seeding to continue at the fast speed.
DreadWingKnight Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Who is your internet provider?
AndyInBG Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 I live in Bulgaria, so I don't think that's the issue. As an example, I downloaded a football match from thebox.bz. While it was downloading at 850 kbps, it was simoultaneously uploading (seeding) at 1200 kbps. As soon as the download was complete, the upload speed fell to 5 k. I currently have about 80 torrents available for seeding. Is there some way to get uTorrent to carry on with the very fast seeding?
DreadWingKnight Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I live in Bulgaria, so I don't think that's the issue. My question wasn't answered. I didn't ask if you thought it was the issue. I asked who your internet provider was.http://torrent.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/ <-- do torrents from here do the same thing?
AndyInBG Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 Errr... my service provider is called CableTel.Why are so many forums inhabited by people who like to sound tough? Is it the only place where the insignificant can make themselves believe they are important? Can a grown-up help me with my problem please.
GTHK Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Only if you actually follow the directions given to you. You haven't told us whether or not torrents from DWK's link WORK. We can't help you if you wont cooperate.
AndyInBG Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 I'm downloading KNOPPIX_V6.0.1CD-2009-02-08-EN at around 800 kbps, seeding at around 2 kbps.I'm not sure how this helps me though.I already know that I don't have problems downloading, and uploading is fine while the downloading is happening. I just want to know how to sustain the high speed uploading after the file has completely downloaded. My internet provider is CableTel. Not quite sure how that's relevant.
