Angelfever
Hi! New to the forums, and uTorrent. So I'm downloading some files, started about a week ago. The files completed on the same day I started, but the whole peer and seeding process has been going for about a week or so.So can anyone tell me when they're usually finished like, when I can use the torrent I downloaded? I have 0 (162) seeds / 12(83) peersPlease help, thanks.
The_Nephilim
Well looks like you are NOT connected to the Seeders?? Are you behind a router?? IF so did you Open a Port up for utorrent?? Have any firewalls??
Angelfever
Yes I'm connected to a router, and I'm not sure how to open a port for uTorrent. I just turned off my firewall, since it was on for some reason.
DreadWingKnight
While you're seeding you aren't supposed to connect to other seeds.
Switeck
You should be able to use what you downloaded once it finishes downloading.uTorrent seeding does not lock the file so other programs cannot access it.
Angelfever
Well everytime I double click on it it just sends me to properties. And when I open containing folder, I can't start anything because windows won't let me open it.*EditOh and is it normal to be getting 0(out of so many) seeds? Switeck
Seeds don't connect to other seeds.Use another program to open/access what you downloaded...if it's a .RAR file, windows can't read that. GOOGLE can possibly determine what you need to do...
