Dissonance
Hello,Some of my temp download files seem to be replaced by content on my computer. I am downloading a torrent of a folder of public domain video lectures. The download is not yet done, but as I preview the videos by browsing to the folder, the videos playback video content on my computer.I have no idea what's going on. I tried multiple media players, checked for malware, checked my router and computer for evidence remote tampering, and can't find anything. Can anybody tell me what's going on?Thanks,D
DreadWingKnight
Stop trying to preview downloads before they're finished.
Firon
Incomplete files are filled with whatever was stored on-disk at that particular location, actually.
Dissonance
Firon, that's what happened. Thanks,D
Firon
It's a little weird, but it's a side effect of the way we allocate files now (which is much, much faster than filling the space with zeroes).
