D.O.D
I had to format my laptop recently and after that installed Utorrent 2(used 1.8.5 before formatting). I had backed up the Utorrent folder in %appdata% so that I could get all my running torrents as is. But replacing the new folder with the old one is not making any effect on utorrent. I cannot add 200 torrents manually in one go Anyone knows how to add the torrents from the old version in the new one?I guess if I downgrade to previous version and then upgrade to 2 (without uninstalling utorrent), it could work. But that seems too much hassle. Any better way?
moogly
Has the drive letter (where are your torrents) changed after your reformatted your laptop? You can use the freeware BEncode Editor (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306) to edit resume.dat (save a backup copy before modifying it) and erase the fileguard line. Do that with µT closed.
PiusX
Just like moogly says does the drive letter that the previous Ut saved to match the new setup you have? If not you will have to manually click on the torrent associated with each torrents to get it started again. I uninstalled 1.8.5 and installed 2.0 in the same older and keeping the appdata and it started right up and all I have to do was make sure the new settings that 1.8.5 had matched up with 2.0 version.
