VY Canis Majoris
I have read every instruction on how to make a static IP address and how to manually open a port but that says for a router. I have a HUAWEI Mobile Broadband. The model is E1750. When I run a test with the Setup Guide it says that the Bandwidth is fine, but the Network doesn't work properly and that the port is not open. Is there anyway to open the port used by µTorrent on a HUAWEI Mobile Broadband?
Switeck
Is it listed at portforward.com ?Did you check your modem's configuration as well?Do you have a software firewall?Does your ISP firewall your line completely?
VY Canis Majoris
I checked in the Router List on PortForward.com and my model is not listed there.
DreadWingKnight
Cellular broadband is permanently firewalled. Nothing you can do about it.
VY Canis Majoris
I see. I gotta live with it. Thanks to both of you anyway.
VY Canis Majoris
Wait a minute, I remember having a HUAWEI Mobile Broadband before and the port was open! That I think was when I used PeerGuardian. Now I use PeerBlock. How can I allow my µTorrent port through PeerBlock?
DreadWingKnight
Don't ask us.We aren't peerblock, nor do we recommend its use.
VY Canis Majoris
I see. I have had a port open once, but I just can't remember how I did to open it. But I will not give up. I will look more closely at port opening.
