Hi,

I have a problem. I'd like to use this superb tool at work, however company IT policy forbids to install freeware for personal non-commercial use as all the software installed on our machines is considered as being used for commercial purposes automatically.

The question is: is it possible to get explicit approval or "license" to use uTorrent under the conditions described?

Yeah, if they forbid freeware, they almost certainly forbid P2P apps as well regardless of how they are licensed. Companies have enough problems with the BSA. I doubt they want to risk adding the RIAA or MPAA to that.

With all the respect, I was not asking what do you think about P2P usage or our company policy. I was simply asking, if there is a way how to get uTorrent properly licensed for commercial usage as I've described it.
