loonwern93
I got an advice from my cousin. He says that if the downloading is slow even when there's thousands of seeders for the torrent, set the "Global maximum number of connections" and "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent" to 1000 and let the dl run for about 10 minutes, and then, set the settings back to normal(for me it's 20 and 15).I realized that this trick works EVERY time for slow downloads. The speed jumps back to maximum even after setting back to the normal settings. Why is that so?
DreadWingKnight
Because the additional connections aren't dropped immediately. But he's setting you up for other problems by recommending those steps. Patience is important.
loonwern93
No, even when the extra connections are dropped till there is 15 connections left(the number beside the brackets total up to 15), the speed remains high. Why?
DreadWingKnight
Luck mainly.
Switeck
Attrition probably -- only the ones with stable connections remain connected when you overload your line like that.
