Switeck Posted August 6, 2010 Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 Most use Deep Packet Inspection using Sandvine or similar equipment at the ISP's premises.These can detect BitTorrent traffic from tracker updates, heuristic discovery of your BitTorrent client's listening port (it isn't hard to "find" when you have 100's of peer/seed connections!), or read the packets directly if not using encryption.
