hahahafr
Hi,A simple and useful feature would be a function that simply remove trackers in double. My 2 cents.
Switeck
Problem is, extra spaces or omitted/added :80 for port number will look like "different" trackers but functionally be the same. So too might capitalization...sometimes.In short, it's not trivial to auto-remove duplicate trackers.
hahahafr
I'm not speaking of a super efficient system. Simply when you have two or more same character string, then you only keep one. That would be so simple. If some tracker are the same but the string are different (port, url, etc...) it doesn't matter if we keep them in double because there's no efficient way to differentiate them. Switeck
In any case, this has been previously requested.
moogly
Really minor feature I guess. This case applies only on public torrents and I don't really see a lot of torrents with the same tracker announce.
WLS
Really minor feature I guess. This case applies only on public torrents and I don't really see a lot of torrents with the same tracker announce.I just had this happen for the first time ever, and there is a post about it. Wow!So I right clicked on the offending tracker in the trackers tab, then selected remove tracker, and poof it was gone.Took me longer to write this. hahahafr
Well, i'm not sure if µtorrent download twice if there's two same tracker but if it's the case then we could see a global bandwidth improvement at a cost of zero. I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't care and just add tracker as much as possible.
moogly
Which would save the bandwidth, that is people should follow the specs about multitracker...http://wiki.depthstrike.com/index.php/P2P:Protocol:Specifications:Multitracker
