pstein
As you know not existing files can be allocated on lost hard disc anyway by either- pre-allocate the full space- allocate them as "sparse" filesThe latter method has the advantage that the files appear in Windows Explorer with the full file size but the really allocated space on hard disc is (starting with 0 bytes) growing as more and more chunks are downloaded. The trick of "sparse" files are used e.g. in emule. Is this the case in utorrent too? Or can I somehow enable spares file pre-allocation somehow in utorrent?I am short on hard disc space and would like to save as much space as possible during download procedure. Already completely downloaded files are burned on DVDs.Peter
DreadWingKnight
It's only the case when you have sparse allocation enabled.
