kaaaarel
Hello,I was wondering how to change the RSS feed update time in uTorrent. And also, what is its default value? I am using OS X Lion 10.7.1 and uTorrent Version 1.5.6 (25588).Great work on the Mac version, thanks a lot for this great app.
Firon
There's some hidden advanced options that you could use to tweak it. Cmd + Opt + , will open that. The default update interval is 15 minutes or whatever the feed's TTL is set to (a value returned in the feed content). yabbah
I either cant make this work. I tried set rss.update_interval to 1 to 14, but it still update every 15 minutes. How can I get it update every 2 minutes instead?
DreadWingKnight
It's hard capped.
yabbah
It's hard capped. What do you mean by that?
DreadWingKnight
I mean that uTorrent ignores any value below 15 minutes for that setting and uses 15. It's an anti-ddos measure.
yabbah
I mean that uTorrent ignores any value below 15 minutes for that setting and uses 15. It's an anti-ddos measure. But the windows-version of utorrent has much faster update-interval. I just tried, and that can be updated each minute if you want to. So DDoS isn't the reason. DreadWingKnight
Except that the windows version doesn't actually listen to you when you set it that low.
yabbah
So 15 minutes is the fastest speed I can update my rss with? Then I sadly have to look for another solution/software. :/
