Problem connecting to beta testing channel

I entered when I was directed the first time but a day after I tried to enter again and couldn't. I waited for another day to see if it was a network problem but I still can't join the channel.

I have a registered nick and it's the same as here. I'm connecting from the same IP I conneected before.

The error message is: #[channel name] unable to join channel (address is banned)

Any help?

I had the same thing happen to me last night and I PM'd Directrix but it was late so didn't get a reply before I switched the comp off.

I think I saw DWKnight remove your IP from the ban list, just try it again...or keep bugging the Ops 'till they let you in.

you have to be added to the access list before you can get in the channel.

The issue is that I was added, or so I thought.

Being added to the list in the webui thread is not the same as the channel's access list.

No, Firon... if you read my first post you will know that I was already allowed to access the channel before. But someone must have forgotten to update the access list after implemented or to save the update with my allowed access back then.

I also have a problem. Suddenly I can't join the channel. It says that it's invite only. I successfully logged in few days ago, and now I can't.

Username is the same.

It's not really that hard. That script's just there to automate it (and to auto-identify you).

That script is for mIRC. I guess someone can make a TCL script for X-Chat but X-Chat supports "NickServ IDENTIFY" natively so just add your password in the p2p-irc.net network profile.

Yeah, I already do that by default. But it needs the damn invite (which is a seperate instruction), and I can't concatenate commands in the client, at least, not to my (albeit limited) knowledge. :/

Just an addon. I joined the channel, registered a nick, asked for instructions, and then nothing happened. I would still like to help, am on the list, but.......?

1c3d0g: for X-Chat I imagine the best way to do it would be to add the invite command to the server's post-CONNECT commands field and then manually join the channel. I don't know how fast the response time is; you could try putty #utorrent-webui in the automatically joined channels if you think chanserv will respond quickly enough.

Alternatly you can install Active(Perl|Python|Ruby|Tcl) and associated plugin and script it.

I don't think ChanServ will respond fast enough.

Trillian allows a semi-colon seperated commands to perform on a connection and I NickServ the 1st command, ChanServ the 2nd, join utorrent the 3rd and join webui 4th and it never works.
