pillman
Currently running sickbeard piratebay edition with utorrent 3.3 and webui 0.387. I noticed in the sickbeard log that it successfully grabs a torrent and sends a magnetic link to utorrent to download but the download never shows up. I know it is not an issue with sickbeard as the same torrents work if I use transmission to download. I prefer utorrent as transmission is buggy and crashes constantly but I cannot figure out why it will not start the download when sickbeard sends a magnetic link. can someone provide assistance?here is the log i see in sickbeard.Feb-13 23:15:08 INFO SEARCHQUEUE-RSS-SEARCH :: Found result Whitney.S02E09.480p.HDTV.x264-mSD at magnet:?xt=urn:btih:3729c912502ffaae28fde5b213913c79853a218d&dn=Whitney.S02E09.480p.HDTV.x264-mSD&tr=udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.istole.it:6969&tr=udp://tracker.ccc.de:80yet nothing in utorrent. ciaobaby
And what in deity's name is 'sickbeard'????
pillman
It is a software that lets you manage your tv shows kind of like a PVR. It automatically searches for torrents of the latest episodes and sends them to the downloading software (utorrent in this case) and the rest is automatic. According to the log in sickbeard the torrent is sent successfully but utorrent never receives it and the download doesn't start. If I use transmission instead to download the torrent starts just fine.
DreadWingKnight
So how is sickbeard attempting to send the download request to uTorrent?
pillman
I believe it sends it over as magnet. Here is the exact message from the sickbeard log:Feb-13 23:15:08 INFO SEARCHQUEUE-RSS-SEARCH :: Found result Whitney.S02E09.480p.HDTV.x264-mSD at magnet:?xt=urn:btih:3729c912502ffaae28fde5b213913c79853a218d&dn=Whitney.S02E09.480p.HDTV.x264-mSD&tr=udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.istole.it:6969&tr=udp://tracker.ccc.de:
DreadWingKnight
That doesn't answer my question. Does it use the regular file associations or the webui call?
pillman
I believe webui call..not 100% sure..here is an screen shot of what the config page looks like. DreadWingKnight
Ok, so webui.Do you have anything in the logger tab of uTorrent?
pillman
I did not think to check the log since there was no change in utorrent and no error messages or anything. I will check the log when I get home and post the results if any.Thanks.
DreadWingKnight
Turn on webui verbose logging on the logger tab when you do.It'll give useful information, including if sickbeard is even making the attempt.
