mining0S
Suppose you have Computer A and Computer B in the same house sharing the same connection. Computer A is running utorrent. Downloading and Uploading. Then Computer B starts Skype. What exactly happens? Is the connection split evenly between them. Or does one connection have priority over the other? I ask because I'm afraid to leave utorrent running if other people need the connection for something else like skype. I'd prefer it that torrenting has the lowest priority over anything else on the network.
DreadWingKnight
If uTorrent is set up properly, the connection is shared as needed.
ciaobaby
Is the connection split evenly between them. Or does one connection have priority over the other? No and no.They both vie for the connection and the network switch part of your router 'decides' which gets what.I'd prefer it that torrenting has the lowest priority over anything else on the network.Enable uTP on your client as that is it's function.http://www.utorrent.com/help/documentation/utpAnd DO NOT set 'Unlimited' upload or download rates.
