mike20021969
Check that under Preferences>General that uTorrent's Associate with torrent files button has been pressed. If that doesn't work, it could be a browser problem not knowing what to do with torrent or magnet links. If that is the case, mention what browser you are using. darian
Hey, I think I'm having a similar problem...I'm on an iMac though. When I go to uTorrent's preferences, I can't find anything that says Associate with torrent files.I also went to the link you posted but it's talking about Chrome. Do you have a similar link for Safari? Every time I click on a download, uTorrent doesn't launch, the browsers page goes to my 'top sites' instead! It's so weird. Thanks for your time! d

mike20021969
I see Association with torrent files can't be checked stays grey That means uTorrent is already associated with torrent files. It looks like Chrome doesn't know (on your computer) how to handle torrent files (magnet links?) then.
