paritybit
It still only needs one port. It doesn't just randomly use ports all the time.
mai9
Utorrent has the option of using one port or random ports. It still only needs one port. It doesn't just randomly use ports all the time. maybe it uses random ports in the sense of "2 ports", "44 ports", "387 ports", that would be random isn't it? I believe it just uses a random number at startup and uses that port for that entire instance of uTorrent till it restarts. No idea what the flags mean I am afraid though. Try searching the forums.I did a search came up with this: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?p=2354#2354fromhttp://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?t=501&highlight=flags<rant>search forums someone has probably asked your question before</rant>

vurlix
µTorrent currently does not need UDP. Just needs TCP. However, this is subject to change.

(I know theres an faq, but this helps the community)i dont like the idea of programs being able to automatically open ports in my router so i keep uPnP disabled in my router settings. I also dont like opening ranges as it provides more of a security risk.
