Tech
Does Direcway satelitte block all ports because I opened up my ports and I still can't get utorrent to turn green.
Ultima
Make sure you actually forwarded properly -- check portforward.com. And make sure you set up your firewall properly as well.
Tech
well my modem for my satelitte is set for 192.168.x.xxx and I can't portforward with it only my router can be set up.nevermind I just downloaded the openoffice thing at 200kbs!! so its just the torrent I got is slow with only 2 seeds:(
Switeck
I'm pretty sure with a satellite connection you don't get an internet ip to yourself, instead you share it with others and you get a LAN ip (thus the 192.168.x.x ip for your computer). And since you cannot port-forward a satellite, you are pretty much out of luck...forever firewalled till you change ISPs.However, being firewalled isn't all bad -- on well-seeded torrents there should be enough unfirewalled connections to still get decent speeds. Switeck
Direcway probably doesn't do anything beyond NATed connections to block ports...they don't have to.Which is to say you could use any port in µTorrent and it should work, you will just always be firewalled.A totally blocked condition would not only be firewalled, it would never even connect!
