shawf Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Still it seeds non-seeded pieces linearly. Ie if we have pieces 3 and 6 in swarm. It uploads in sequence of 1 2 4 5 7 8. Swarm has pieces 3 6 because i switch to initial seeding when a bunch of peers connected to swarm and seeded normally about %20. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its a system to distribute different pieces as widely as possible and there is no reason not to do it linear (While during normal BitTorrent activity there are mechanisms at work that cause non-sequentiality). Just wondered whether it is utorrents normal behaviour while initial seeding. As long as you say it won't affect anything worse then it is ok for me.
