Icon is back in notification area with 28854.
But why has the default installation directory moved to Application Data???
The mind boggles, it really does - especially as the previous version is not uninstalled.
What a bizarre move.

@rafi
Your AzureusWiki links are dead.
http://www.netcheif.com/Articles/uTorrent/html/ExternalLinks.html#AzureusWiki
The result of clicking any of the 3 links show this:
Sorry, the website www.azureuswiki.com cannot be found.

I upgrade to 28830 and find that the tray icon is bad: http://www.damjan.net/tmp/uT_28830.png
At least you've got an icon in notification area.
I'm using Windows XP SP3 and no icon is showing - it's just a blank space. I hover mouse cursor over blank space and the uTorrent details show. (I exited Explorer then cleared/refreshed icon cache and that didn't help).
I went back to 3.2.3.28705 and there it is.

it should stay off.
As it reappeared. it didn't stay off for me.
But it is off again now though

I see the sponsored torrent came back on the interface... but then it would when you changed/removed the wording from sponsored_torrent_offer_ to offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_
Another delve into the advanced options to turn something else off.

-- 2012-10-30: Version 3.2.2 Release Candidate 1 (build 28407)
- Fix: Client shuts down quicker
- Fix: Torrents deleted quicker
The bug mentioned in post #58 is still present.
-
All files are download regardless of select you only one file on not.
Ditto.
-
The date on the "Add Dialogue" is the torrent creation date NOT the current date, and "1/1/1970" is the Linux/Unix epoch date that equates to a date serial number of 0. What you are seeing indicates a problem on the BitTorrent client that originally created the torrent.
Righto. Thanks
-
In the Add New Torrent dialog box of the current beta, 28326, why is the is the date/time incorrect?
It's 40+ years out.
(This may have been happening previously but I've only just noticed today).
-
And why are you aking about BitComet at the uTorrent support forum?
Read his post again - I think you'll find the majority of it relates to µTorrent.
He only mentioned it to ask...
Can I get the same results on uTorrent? -
On the first post? Works for me... Or is it broken on the website?
Yes the one in the first post. (http://ll.download3.utorrent.com/latest/uTorrent-3.2.1.exe)
It waits for a long time then the browser says "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to ll.download3.utorrent.com".
Works in Google Chrome here (using version 22.0.1229.79).

after updating to 3.2.2 Beta 1 (build 28110), my utorrent crashes a few secs after launching
No crashing problems here
(Using Windows XP SP3).
-
It will be recreated
NOOOO... create an new empty text file there' date=' and rename it!!![/quote']
Oh. Well, it worked for me
-
how do I create a new one.
Close uTorrent.
Delete the file from the Application Data>uTorrent folder (back it up to somewhere safe if you want first).
It will be recreated when you restart uTorrent.

-2 Crash when running "setup-guide"->speed-test twice [* 96])
I ran it 3 times in a row on XP.
What was supposed to happen?
-
Hold Shift-F2 when you open preferences.
In Advanced Options' date=' filter for sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled.[/quote']
Gotcha.
Now sorted
Or so I thought. It's reappeared again
-
Hold Shift-F2 when you open preferences.
In Advanced Options, filter for sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled.
Gotcha.
Now sorted
(Note to self: I must turn the light on when using the keyboard to avoid pressing wrong button)
-
In Advanced Options, filter for sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled.
I looked and it is not listed. Under s are these:
silent_*
store_*
streaming.failover_rate_*
streaming.failover_set_*
streaming.min_*
streaming.saftety_*
sys.enable_*
-
Is there a permanent way to get rid of this? (as it keeps reappearing).
-
Social icon (fb & tw) in the status bar?
Why? I hate that shit!
Agreed.
Are those 2 sites sponsoring uTorrent now?
-
Yeah! Also my Add Torrent dialog is broken... Official Changelog is missing, but I can do it:
-- 2012-08-30: Version 3.2 (build 27850)
- Change: Add Torrent dialog is now broken
Nice
-
New build but still the same old "We're not going to post the changelog because we don't want to" attitude which is horrible. People complain about that and yet it continues. Guess their attitude is just a huge F***k you to all of us.
Do you find it irritating that they haven't updated the thread title to 27825?
Good luck sleeping tonight

X:\Downloads\Torrents\Completed\Music/Jazz\{whatever} which causes a problems when opening the folder location since it trips up on that /.
Then why not use backslashes exclusively?
As you were able to put a backslash after Jazz, use a backslash before Jazz?
-
Oooh I didn't know about that.
According to a video on YouTube, if you use the Opera browser with their "Turbo On" feature enabled, that works without using proxies - whoever your ISP is.

No problems with Metadata here - usually around 8 or 9 seconds for it to download/show.
(using 3.3.0.28918; Windows XP SP3).
