Try lowering the net.max_halfopen to 4 then. If that helps only marginally, then perhaps you should also consider patching your TCPIP.sys file using lvllord's EventID 4226 patch (for XP SP2). Increase the limit to 20 in the patch, and leave net.max_halfopen alone.

@kucku: That's entirely irrelevant to the thread -- this isn't a thread about µTorrent, it's a thread about its webui feature. If you have an issue with µTorrent, then post in the Troubleshooting forum. And get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file in the new thread.

Settings suggestions based on 1c3d0g's guide are not recommended for use -- they give you settings that can and likely will overload your connection. IIRC, NetLimiter behaved funkily with µTorrent, and using NetLimiter to limit µTorrent's bandwidth usage is different from setting a bandwidth limit in µTorrent directly, as µTorrent uses its own upload limit to calculate some things.

@gAzo0o: Is there any commandline parameter for Wine that tells it not to create a GUI? If not, does the boss key work under Wine?

Perhaps you can start it as a service using srvany.exe and just view everything from WebUI.
