That is correct. You really only need to download the .conf again though. I've only updated the .bmp once to clean up a flag. It is indeed missing. Since the islands are a territory of Austrailia that would be the correct flag to use, they have an unofficial flag, but like you mentioned almost all of the .cc addresses are used for other things. Which is better: displaying the correct flag for the ccTLD, which is probably wrong based on where the IP actually resolves to, or displaying nothing at all? I figured it best to leave the ccTLD undefined. There are a few other territories that have ccTLDs that I didn't put in the .conf/.bmp, .tk is the only one I can remember off the top of my head. After work today I'll post a complete list of missing ccTLDs. As mentioned in earlier posts only .com/.net TLDs need to be added to the .conf, nearly all the ccTLDs should have the correct flag displayed.

Flag should be displayed for that domain since the flag for Djibouti is already in the .bmp and .conf I wouldn't miss a country with such a cool name

They're only missing from the default .conf and .bmp files; the ones linked in the first post contain those flags. The ccTLD missing from this flags.bmp (the .conf has them allocated) are the following: .eu .gf .gp .md .ps .re .su .tf Nearly every other ccTLD has a flag. Updated the .conf again.

Updated the .conf a few times since the last post about it. Usually only adding a few domains at a time which is why I didn't post anything about an update, but since someone mentioned a domain I didn't have figured I'd make a post mentioning that the .conf has been updated.

Updated the .bmp to fix the flag for Iceland. The white cross wasn't very clear in the previous version.

  7. Just a FYI there is already a company called Hummingbird, so maybe that isn't the best animal for a mascot. If anyone is thinking to use an animal for a logo I still think a gull would be the best choice. http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Larus_canus.html Mew Gull ... how can you go wrong with that

That's good to hear. .conf has been updated again.

alltel.net and kmbs.com both seem to be US host so I haven't added them. swinet.net was already in the list and gavle.to already has a ccTLD which can't be mapped, only .com/.net Other than that the list has been updated.

You can use the old .conf/.bmp which don't map .com/.net to a flag if you really want it to work that way. The mapping isn't as up to date as the current one, but you can just copy the mapping from the current one over the old one and it should be fine. The reason this was done was because a good chunk of the .com/.net were resolving to US anyway. In any event the current .conf has been updated again. It's unfortunate that you can't use them both at the same time. peer.resolve_country works quite well most of the time, but the default .bmp is missing some ccTLD that seem to show up on a fairly regular basis.

You sure about alltel.net? I've updated the list except for that one.

The flags ludde posted was for versions prior to 1.2 so it won't do you much good now. The one ARX-7 posted is the current default flag bmp.

The old .conf/.bmp are still available if you prefer to use it that way. Updated the .conf again Unfortunately didn't have any time today to work on the new flags, hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks Updated the .conf again I've got another set of flags that has most of the ccTLD. I personally don't like it as much as the current flags.bmp I've been hosting, but for people that don't like the pastel look they might like it more. Hopefully I'll be done with it tomorrow.

    1) Was answered in this thread on page 2. 2) Was answered in this thread: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=375 Basically they're spaces for domains that I don't yet have flags too. So they're in the .conf and .bmp but no actual flag. Here's what's missing: .eu .gf .gp .md .ps .re .su .tf

That's good to hear. I'm not really sure what I can do about those though. From my understanding the .conf was only to map .com/.net So .org or domains with a ccTLD that are wrong are going to stay wrong. Maybe a developer or someone in the know will correct me. In any event I updated the .conf with domains I know will work.

I'm not really sure, hopefully they get mapped to the 00 flag. I've added the 00 mapping so that .com/.net have a US flag by default. This means that only non US mappings will need to be added to the .conf file (I hope). The previous versions (without 00 mapping) are saved as flags.old.bmp and flags.old.conf if you want to use them for some reason. EDIT: I'm no longer going to maintain the ones old ones. So they're current as of this post but no futher than that.

Updated. That's how I've been finding them, but if enough people want me to add the 00 flag to map .com/.net to US by default I will.

Unfortunately when using a custom .bmp you have to map US ones too I wish there was some way to have wildcards or regex for the mapping so then it could move all the .net/.com that isn't mapped to US. Also things like *.gb|UK since it seems silly to have the same flag in the .bmp several times. Oh well. The top of the .conf file has the date when it was last updated. I'll also make a post anytime I add more than a few hostnames. Like now The .conf has been updated with latest postings. Thanks everyone.

What are you talking about? siol.net is correct. It's always been SI, I found that one myself last night. .sk is Slovakia, not really sure where you're getting the SL from, since that's for Sierra Leone. Despite your list having some already entered hostnames every little bit helps, right ;-) Anyhoo, updated again. Anything that ends in a ccTLD shouldn't need an entry in the .conf file. The only things that need to be added are .com and .net TLDs.

Updated. Also noticed that the hostname mapping is case-sensitive :-( I had taken intercable.net|MX from Firon's list way back when, but when I saw a peer from that hostname it was *.INTERCABLE.net and no flag showed up. Chaning the .conf to contain INTERCABLE.net|MX caused the correct flag to show up. If there's going to be different capitalizations of the same hostname it will be tedious to find them all.

Updated. I saved the file in *nix so the line breaks are different. I'm not sure if this matters or not, but after I get off work I can save it with Windows style line breaks if it's a problem. That option doesn't seem to work when using a .conf file. All the .com/.net will have no flags when that option is on, at least that's what it did when I turned it on last night. Hostnames ending with .ae should already have the UAE flag, at least with my .conf file. I'm pretty sure the default one doesn't have the .ae TLD mapped to a flag.

If I take them out of the .conf they have no flag. Maybe it's because I'm using extra TLDs? The only ones that get flags if I have an empty .conf are country code TLDs. Updated.
