  1. Autoupdates are disabled for stable builds at the moment.
  2. Make sure your settings.dat is not large. If it's more than like 100kb or so, then you should delete it + .old before starting up uT.
  3. This is just a backport of the fix from 3.2 for forever-growing settings.dat. We weren't distributing the build with the issue (we pulled it shortly after release), so it wasn't as urgent to fix here.
  4. Just saying that there are "problems" that bother you w/o describing them is ridiculous! Don't you want people here to also fix them at least the ones that important to you - for your users? Private tracker staff rarely ever say what the "problem" is. They just say "PROBLEMS!" and that's it. It's really quite unhelpful. A few do, but those have been pretty rare over the past few years.
  5. Don't forget about "webui.download_folders" and "ct_hist" (of osmosis). Yes' date=' and add_dialog_hist seems fixed now, but it still doesn't retain the trailing "\" in the folders, making it change to the directory above every time the Add dialog opens. (ie. G:\Temp\TVEps -> G:\Temp -> G:).[/quote'] I can't repro your bug with path components being stripped. Are you on 27026? If so, please give me steps to reproduce this issue and clarify how you're adding the torrents (magnet links, add by URL, torrent from your browser, etc).
  6. It's not irrevocably broken. We've been paying down a lot of tech debt, and our betas are a lot less stable than 2.x betas for that reason.
  7. Sandboxie is not the same thing as a VM. Not even close. It's a nifty, yet kind of ugly, hack to sandbox applications. fwiw, most of our development happens on actual VMs.
  8. We don't really support operating with something like Sandboxie.
  9. What build # do you run? This should be OK in the latest - 27026 .I am using 27020. 27026 doesn't even start for me (I am running Windows 7 Pro x64). Delete your settings file before upgrading.
  10. 27026 only fixes the remaining settings.dat growth. While this new build fixes the problem that made it grow, it does not fix existing broken settings files. You will have to delete your settings.dat and .old to get back to normal.
  11. We believe we have them all now. A refresh will be coming today with the final fix (having tested this new fix with Rafi already)
  12. http://download.utorrent.com/3.1.3/utorrent.27022.exe New build up to hopefully fix the issues with the last one.
  13. Existing settings.dat are probably hosed forever. You'll need to delete the settings and start fresh (you can keep the other .dat files).
  14. New 3.2 up to fix the settings.dat bug (along with one nasty crash from the previous build).
  15. The build was temporarily pulled due to a bug. We'll have a refresh out soon.
  16. I've already stated what will be done. Locking the thread 'cause no one reads.
  17. For users reporting issues with µTorrent not connecting to peers on this version, we're investigating this. The upcoming refresh today/Monday will likely not have any fixes related to this, though, as the investigation will take a few days.
  18. Allocating is that it's busy writing out zeroes to files (allocating them on disk).
  19. New build up. The add torrent dialog should now correctly handle magnet links and single-file torrents. Splitting the save path + name up into two entries simplifies things greatly with history handling and in general. It also makes it simpler for us to implement simple rename operations for the torrent folder, to help us fix the issues with set download location not allowing you to rename or not move. Set DL location isn't really fixed yet, but this is a step towards that.
  20. Right click on the column headers and you can add/remove columns.
  21. Right click on the column headers and you can add/remove columns.
  22. You do realize this is a beta, right?
