  3. There's no port range. You set a port on the network section in Options -> Preferences. Your bandwidth is easiest found out by checking the documents for your internet connection. And yes, you can set a static IP to your computer without troubles if you follow the guides: http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm
