Switeck
Is Norton AV or firewall on your computer and just disabled at the moment? If it's disabled, it still often interferes with µTorrent.
Klaus_1250
@Switch: It is not just Norton, I've seen several firewalls do the same, which is extremely frustrating since you expect that "turn off" or "disable" really means that.@macman: I've seen such errors on a number of occasions. Two come to mind: Are you using Fast User Switching and is µTorrent active under another profile? (haven't seen this myself with µTorrent, but have with a bunch of other apps). The other one is a file-permission issue, where uTorrent may be opening/writing to a file it is not allowed to. You can probably check both by looking at the open file handles and disk-activity with some Sysinternal Utilities. But these are both gueses and only seen them with apps other than µTorrent
