bread
My upload speed is so close to nothing its unbelievable. What I start a new torrent in uTorrent, the download speed rockets up and then when its done it drops to zero. When this file is uploading, however, the upload speed is 0 kB/s and every twenty minutes it raises to 1 kB/s for ten seconds then drops again. I have tried countless torrents. My other problem is port forwarding. I have attempted to set up a static IP address, but each time the IP address no longer works after about five minutes. This is really frustrating me...so any help would be awesome. Also, I can't find a port without an error message...I had a good one last week but then it changed and now every one I try is closed. Thanks a lot.

bread
I tried that, but i couldn't access the port forwarding page of my router. Plus the Static Ip changed somehow.
silverfire
What's your router model? In cmd.exe, type the following:ipconfig /allYour router's admin page is at http://[Default gateway IP address from ipconfig readout]:[some port number, usually 8080, 8000, or something in that range - refer to your router's documentation]/You can also use a static IP definition in your TCP/IP settings rather than depending on your router's DHCP. Ultima
He probably followed 1c3d0g's mini-guide... that's a really odd number to be choosing, after all.@bread: Is that half open thing in TCPIP.SYS, or net.max_halfopen?
bread
the mini guide is exactly what I did....it is 164 in net.max_halfopen..and uh...thank you utorrent guest for your support
Ultima
Whoa... reset the net.max_halfopen, for starters. Then use the Speed Guide as has been suggested. Tell us, what have you patched the TCPIP.SYS limit to?
bread
by use the speed guide, do you mean pick my upload speed from the list? The app said the limit was set to 50...
