bgmnt Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 I've been using uTorrent to download torrents for a long time, and I have to say it works great. However, in the last few days, I've noticed a phenomenon occurring. The seeds and peers statuses for one file I'm downloading is like thisSeeds: 0 (826)Peers: 86 (740)For another one, it's:Seeds: 0 (107)Peers: 70 (157)I have very good ratios on both of these; is this normal?
DreadWingKnight Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 Are these downloads or completed (Seeding) torrents? What are the availabilities?
Switeck Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 Sounds like fake torrents...is availablity below 1?
bgmnt Posted December 25, 2006 Author Report Posted December 25, 2006 Yeah, what are fake torrents? If they're torrents with artificially inflated seeds, then it makes sense...The availability for the first one is <1. It's at .94, and I'm done 94%, so it's stuck...
Ultima Posted December 25, 2006 Report Posted December 25, 2006 Fake means the data you're downloading is probably junk data "seeded" by anti-P2P entities.
