Zoltrix
Sorry if this has been answered before, I searched the faqs and forum.I was wondering what is the correct way to upgrade to a new version?Just shut it down, replace the utorrent.exe, and open it again?Or should all settings be deleted, and then reconfigured in the new version? And if you have a patched tcpip.sys, remeber to set an higher value on net.max_halfopen in the advanced settings.
MechR
In uTorrent, do Help -> Check for updates. For me it worked for versions 1.1.4 through 1.1.7, but for some reason it wouldn't work when I tried going from 1.1.7 to 1.2. Still, not a bad track record. chaosblade
Same here, upgraded from build <secret 1.1.8 build with DHT> straight to v1.2 b328 without any issues. I never reinstalled uTorrent, always updated with the autoupdater even since the v1.1.x's, never failed
