churchi
Hi all,i was just seeding a torrent last night and i set a max upload speed for that torrent. now this is all good and it worked correctly but what was missing is that if i walked away and then came back there is no quick way of knowing which of your torrents has had the speed capped.Like in BC it will say in upload speed for the torrent 129k/300kso it shows the current over the max if there is a max value set for it.could this kind of feature be implamented in the future, as i believe it will be very handy to see at a glance which of your torrents has had a max speed set on it for uploading or downloading. ScubaSteve
lol. it was only a matter of time before someone else requested this. yes churchi i have been wanting this for a LONG time but it seems that the devs completely ignored it no matter how many times i asked. i miss not having the Max Up and Max Down columns so i can see if i have set limits for each torrent without having to open up every torrents properties. churchi
sorry ScubaSteve for the dupe request. i guess i will now submit it to the new feature requests page we have up. but i hope this is added because it saves LOTS of timemaybe we can have some more feedback on this so that if its positive the developers will put it in
ScubaSteve
i dont mind the dupe request. my thread got closed eventually due to me bumping it, lol. maybe a word from the devs on adding these two extra columns?
NiteShdw
Has anyone else noticed that in the General tab on the right there are two labels: "Down Limit:" and "Up Limit:". It just so happens that those labels don't seem to be used at all and are always blank. Perhaps that would be a good place to show torrent-specific limits? ScubaSteve
although those show the limits they arent useful at all because id still have to click on each torrent name just to check if it has a limit or not. two indivisual columns one for max up and one for max down would be so much more useful, the same as azureus. Juggernaut
Voted yes, think this is a great way to get an overview on which torrents are limitied and which are not...
hofshi
this is a good feature. has my vote.
ScubaSteve
would be nice if ludde could comment on this feature as i requested Max Up/Down columns along time ago and it was just ignored.
churchi
i agree steve, would be great to know if this would be considered to be added to the client.
chaosblade
Im pretty much against adding useless columns, but i dont really care about this one. Usefull to some people, utterly not for others.
hofshi
could one of the devs please comment if this is to be implemented?
Juggernaut
Im pretty much against adding useless columns, but i dont really care about this one. Usefull to some people, utterly not for others.Note that I voted for "adding *to* the columns MAX..." not adding extra columns, unless the colums becomes customizeable. I, like chaosblade, find it enough columns as it is. But if the limit is added to the current speed column like in Bitcomet, that column only have to become wider when a limit actually is used. If not limit is used, it should be as it is today, not one extra column that just is empty.
ScubaSteve
the columns are customizable anyway u simple right click on a column name and select which ones u want shown. if ppl dont want it then they could just disable it, but for some ppl its nice to see the max speed set on torrents without having to open the properties or click on every torrent name, its extremely frustrating and time consuming. Juggernaut
Ah right you are, thanks. Dont know why I didn't try that one o_O.

chaosblade
Adding extra information in ONE column is even WORSE. Just look at BitSpirit's columns and you would understand why.
Firon
ludde's rather reluctact to add more crap to the right click context menus to prevent clutter.

ScubaSteve
yup would definately be a shame not to add it, its one of the most important features i used in azureus.
chaosblade
By the way, The Down\Up Limit: labels are not empty here. They do show the value inputted.
hofshi
true, but we are discussing an option to see the max ul/dl rate in a column rather than in the general tab.
ScubaSteve
would prefer the columns to be seperate if a max dl one got put in as i wouldnt use it.
