ResisT Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Is this possible? And if so, how can I accomplish this? I have tried to copy the files with the directory structure intact (clone) from one machine to another but then when I go to resume, the damn thing starts from the beginning, even though all the files are where they're supposed to be. Even if it's 95% finished it starts at 0%. (((((
silverfire Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Try resuming the folder above the one you select.
wision Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 and what should i do when i have same files, but diferent filenames? just resuming the folder is not enough...
wision Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 heh... i like "#n - name1 - name2.avi" and dont like the idea renaming 30 files to "name1.divx.HDTV.#n.group.member.avi" ...in bitspirit u can save every file seperately, so i dont have to rename it... its not possible in utorrent?
Animorc Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 Get Total Commander. It has a multi-file renamer with an implemented counter.
wision Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 heh... it doesnt sound stupid to you? do something twice, when you dont have to do it?btw if ill rename them ill lost episode name (name2 as u see in my exaple), so next renamig will take a lot time more..
ResisT Posted November 25, 2005 Author Report Posted November 25, 2005 Wow thats kind of rediculous, don't you guys think? To even have to do "anything" in order to resume downloads I mean. Why do I say this? Well, Yesterday after trying for about 10 frustrating minutes to resume a transfer on a different computer then the one it was originally started from, I gave up (I know 10 minutes is nothing but time really is preciuos for me). HOWEVER, I noticed that I still had bitcomet installed on the computer I tried to resume the transfer with.Guess what? I dumped the incomplete folders/files *AS IS* (no renaming or anything like that) from utorrent into the download directory of BitComet and WHAM, it immediately hashed-checked the utorrent's files and CONTINUED where utorrent left off, which was at 89%!! =) =) =) =) =) =) =) Nice.
chaosblade Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 So you're saying bitcomet is superb for lazy people ?
