torrent_user88
Here is the deal. I turn on uTorrent and download/upload torrents just fine and am happy with the speed. When uTorrent is open though, all internet stops both IE and Firefox, acts like the cable is unplugged, nothing. A reboot fixes about 50% of the time. The only surefire way to get it to work again is to shut the PC down and wait about 15 minutes and then turn back on and also reseting connection. Is there a process in task manager I can kill so I dont have to shut the PC down to get internet to work when I am done with utorrent? Switeck
What's the measured speed of your connection, both Down AND UP?What settings are you using, as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G)?Have you changed any of µTorrent's advanced settings?Lastly, have you tried Ultima's Troubleshooting Guide?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992...It lists additional information we'll need if nothing helped. torrent_user88
What is maximum global number of connections. Does that mean how many total peers can be allowed accross all current torrents at the same time. If so, i have it set to 750 which is a lot, i know. This would make sense why the internet does not work while using it, but why wouldnt that resolve when I shut utorrent down or even when I reboot? Firon
You should lower it a lot, as well as disable DHT.The reason it still affects you even after you close ut is that your router is still tracking all those connections and choking on them.
