GeeJayOz
Hi,I have been downloading a 119MB file which is going very slowly but constant.I have just noticed that I have already downloaded 366MB and yet the file shows only 70.9% completed.I have never noticed this before. Does anyione have an explanation?

GeeJayOz
Hi,I suppose I shopuld have checked that first but I'm not that informed.Shows wasted: 286MB ( 2278 hashfails)
DreadWingKnight
The wasted accounts for the difference, and with that many hashfails, I suspect anti-p2p poisoning or a dlink router gone stupid.
jewelisheaven
Yea, it definitely looks like you hit upon interdicted/poisoned swarm there... unless you're using the interim 1.8 alpha which had problems with partfiles?
GeeJayOz
Thanks for the quick response!!Trying to d/l a Santana album. I have a Billion 7300G router/modem which has never given me trouble yet.I'm struggling through the download..one track at a time. jewelisheaven
You really shouldn't download selected files at a time, it messes with your ability to upload to others and others' ability to upload to you (if you are saying "dont download" to most of the pieces the peers have then it's expected for your speed to suffer). uT automatically handles banning of peers which send bad data. By "router gone stupid" DWKnight is referring to Dlink models which when run through DMZ mode mangle packets.
