jp63670
A recent email from our ISP identified a download by name. How is this possible with encryption turned on? Is there more to be done than enabling encryption to insure that this can't be done?
DreadWingKnight
How is this possible with encryption turned on?Because encryption isn't supposed to block that. All that you can do is stop downloading torrents that can generate those letters. Ultima
Encryption stops (some) ISPs from determining that you are using BitTorrent based on packet inspection. It does not stop ISPs from determining what you're actually downloading (that's easily identifiable via tracker communication, which is not encrypted by PE). Firon
Besides, the ISP itself is not the one that sends the letter or investigates. It's investigation groups that run torrents themselves.
