mugen
Is there a feature in utorrent that requires that a torrent have a minimum upload/download bandwith before it is given an active slot? It would prevent the situation that I have now, with 3 upload slots filled with 0k uploads and no downloads, because all my "active" slots are filled. Switeck
uTorrent v1.8 beta has what you need. Also, there are settings to give seeding tasks priority over downloading tasks...or the reverse! Most of this is in advanced settings, so be VERY careful while changing things there! mugen
Thanks for the quick response.Given that my system isn't "beta-test-expendable" should I just wait for the stable release? This problem isn't critical.
jewelisheaven
1.8 is stable on many people's systems... and has been for months. Up to you of course. And always remember you can test it out without fully converting ;D
Switeck
One can even argue that the latest bunch of v1.8 betas are MORE stable than say v1.7.5-v1.7.
jewelisheaven
I try not to argue things I haven't experienced... I remember getting crashes around the time magnet: was added FIRST because of the regression testing whereby magnet: BTIH links weren't understood lol.Basically it boils down to how much and what kind of software you're used to using. If you use poorly coded software or software which doesn't play well with others your % chance of problems increases.
