GTHK
How does DD-WRT v24 final work? And, TWC, is planning something. Anyway, as I'm not sure, how does OpenOffice behave when you download/upload/leech/seed it? Also, burst and then slows down? Do web sites still work? Can you try bypassing your router and seeing how an OpenOffice torrent works? DD-WRT, while nice, wasn't the best thing last version :/. What the hell is TCP Vegas :/.And finally: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992#p258231
llyenn
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tcp_vegasSo...ok. I tried everything else in that guide except for patching tcpip.sys. Seem seriously problematic for something so simple. So currently seeding OOo 133 seeds 28 peers with 5 connected. I downloaded it in a couple of minutes. Current up speed is5.5. Peers don't stay connected long, they connect, some data gets pushed, and then it goes slow, then disconnects. I will try without router tonight when I get home from work.DDWRT has worked great for me. I have it on this and a WRT150N that acts as a bridge for my xbox 360. I have had no significant issues. If it seems to be the router, I will post this question over there too. Thanks for the help...
jewelisheaven
OOo isn't a good test of upload. They have 100Mbit(... err GigE?) seeds pumping that out. Use a ... less seed heavy torrent to test as well.
Switeck
Are you losing connection often with peers? This is often the signs of a hostile ISP...maybe even the ISP of the peers you're connected to instead of your own.
llyenn
OK...so I finally tried without my router...connected straight to the cable modem, and it is still dropping connections...gonna try a different machine and OS (my kids laptop runs edubuntu) and see if that helps...any other suggestions? Ultima
What does the Speed Guide show your current settings to be? Sure DHT is disabled?
