tongtongchan
Everytime I click on a download link on Internet Explorer, Bitcomet opens the download before uTorrent. Is there any way to rectify that? Or put uTorrent in the right click menu in Internet Explorer just like Bitcomet has so that we can choose which program to use? DreadWingKnight
As much as you may or may not like bitcomet, it spies on you and shouldn't be used. It's probably the bitcomet addon that's interfering anyway.
jewelisheaven
... wherever your file associations are in IE preferences, edit, change --> utorrent.exe doesn't work?
Bobbias
bitcomet likely changes that association all the time. There are lots of ways to force a file to only be opened by your program, especially if you happen to have malicious code like bitcomet.
tongtongchan
I've already un-checked Bitcomet as default Internet Explorer download tool, & made uTorrent the default application for opening .torrent files. Is there any way to force open the download link on uTorrent, or add uTorrent to Internet Explorer Right Click Menu?
DreadWingKnight
No, but given the level of interference bitcomet is giving you, I would highly recommend uninstalling it completely.
