sofaking
OK, Im not overly knowledgeable about this stuff. Anyway... here goes.I just recently switched from Azureus to uTorrent for downloading.Im not sure what the problem is..... when I used Azureus w/ PG2 you can see the ip's roll by in PG2 as they are blocked or not, but when you disconnect torrents and shut down Azureus the ip's would stop rolling by, the connections stop then there would be no activity. That is not the case since I started using uTorrent. If I close all torrents, exit utorrent and close email, browser... everything. PG2 still shows ip's rolling by. I dont get it?What am I missing? Thanks! sofaking
?? well I assumed they are incoming connections. I guess the question is why I still have incoming connections with utorrent shut down and I didnt have after shutting down azureus. Thanks
DreadWingKnight
Because of a multitude of factors.Different DHT.Different swarms involved.Different peers. All things considered, PG2 is just a paranoia fueling tool.
sofaking
Thanks, yeah... I have no illusions about what PG2 does & doesnt do, I just dont understand enough about the torrent technology to know if I had a problem because of activity after all connections should be shut down. Switeck
Seeds and peers are trying to "call back"...they don't know you're not at home (ie: not running uTorrent at the moment.)
sofaking
Thanks, So I guess what I am seeing is seeds & peers trying to connect, but not connecting?Even 4 - 5hrs later there are some ip's trying to connect.I moved to utorrent cause azureus ruined their client.... I wish I would have moved sooner.
