PulsateX
Auto-load doesn't seem to work with locations pointed to a network drive.i.e.: Z:\Downloads\AutoAddwhere Z is a mapped network drive
Ryan Norton
Does the logging tab indicate anything?

Firon
I don't think it's ever worked from network shares. It seems to act weird.
PulsateX
would be nice if it did.id like network users to drop in their torrent files into the autoadd folder (on the network storage drive) and the machine downloading would pick it up from the network storage drive and put it up on queue
hermanm
This is a limitation of the operating system and how it handles networked drives. Contents of a network drives do not refresh automatically like Local Disks do. Whenever there is a change on a Local Disks, the applications somehow get notified of the folder content change. But it doesn't do this for network drives for some reason. If you use a tool like Filemon, you can observe this in incredible detail. It would be very inefficient, but µTorrent could poll the auto-load folder every 30 seconds.
thelittlefire
It does poll the auto-load folder every 6 seconds.
hermanm
Yeah, I read that on another thread too. For some reason, the way µTorrent checks is not compatible with network drives. I don't know a lot about CIFS nor SAMBA, but it seems to be a common issue that even non µTorrent users face.
Firon
I think it's just a deficiency in network file sharing on Windows.
