Asterio
I really need some help. The error message is: Error: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open. What does that mean, and what can I do? Briggers
I am having a similar problem but with no error report and download and upload are still running.I am tring to download a 28gb file, its 99.8% complete, this took some time so I am reluctant to delete it and start again.I am on a DSL line at 8mb/250kb, the download started of at normal download speed but when it got to 99.6% it slowed down to a snails pace (0.1 - 0.6kb/s). I upgraded to V 1.8.1 (build 12639) but the problem still exists.Any advice?ThanksDavid
Firon
What is the availability? If the Availability is less than 1, you can't finish, because there just isn't a whole copy available.

DreadWingKnight
And how exactly does that answer firon's question about availability?
Firon
Click on the torrent and look at the General tab. Availability is there.
Briggers
for the benefit of DreadWingKnight (who does not claim to be nice) I added that info before I saw the reply, just in case it might be helpful! In answer to Firon's comment - who has been most helpful. You are right, availability shows 0.985.This begs the question: why does Utorrent start downloads that are not complete?
thelittlefire
You tell uTorrent what to download. Availability is only for connected peers, so it's possible there's always more available than you're connected to.
Firon
Because ut downloads what you tell it to. There's always a possibility that availability will go above 1, so utorrent makes no assumptions and downloads everything available.
