badbiddy
ok i know that i can download directly to my external drive because its fat32 and it only allows less than 4gb downloaded directly to it. So i was wondering under the utorrent settings if i set it so it downloads to the computer then the setting after that move the completed download to my external drive. Will this work??? thanks
DreadWingKnight
No, because the FAT32 4gb file limitation is a limitation at the filesystem level. You MUST convert to NTFS or another filesystem compatible with individual files over 4gb for it to work.
badbiddy
ok thanks. now would ntfs affect the externals drive capacity?? how fast it can load files?? thanks
moogly
NTFS is better with Win OS and more fast because the MFT is different.Anyway check Google for more info.
DreadWingKnight
Capacity will be minimally affected if at all. Performance MAY go down, but reliability WILL go up.
Firon
Eh, the performance difference between FAT32 and NTFS is not something you'll notice except through benchmarks.
