JB4times4
When I download a torrent of ANYTHING, when it's done, I have to click stop, then force re-check. and everytime it's got anywhere from 10-20% left to still download. moogly
Maybe you have an hardware issue like bad sectors on your HD or RAM issue.
JB4times4
well, I've tried it on 3 different hard drives so far, and it's happened on all of them.
moogly
Do you do selective dwlding with multifile torrents ?
thelittlefire
..... HiJackThis log. uT downloads what you tell it to. When it hits 100% the data has been verified from RAM. Your problem occurs after RAM before use. Is this all media files? If you click Files tab, where are the missing (red) pieces?
JB4times4
this is what it looks like after I hit recheck. And, I don't know how to use HiJackThis.
moogly
Yep edge pieces have been discarded after the forced re-check.

moogly
Did you skip only ONE file in your example ? Can you right click on the header of a column, enable "first piece" column and do a ascending sort with this column (click on it). Rescreen your Files tab. JB4times4
There isn't a first piece column.ya, I just skipped the last file.
moogly
Of course there is a "First piece" column. You need to right click one of columns of the Files tab, NOT one of the main window.
thelittlefire
Edge pieces have been CHANGED from the torrent's data. What kind of files are they. Was I right in assuming they are media (audio/visual data)??
ger14
i have the same problem, then when i use bitcomet or any other client everything is ok. i really dont know what this issue is but it started after i installed the new utorrent. Its not mem, hdd or any hardware for that matter. everyone keeps saying that, but if that were the case then every other software would be doing the same thing as well. please just make a patch for this. i googled it and many others have the same issue. I think utorrent is the best torrent app (as long as it works right) PLEASE FIX!
DreadWingKnight
It's nice of those many others to report the issue to us.But seriously, post a hijackthis log and process explorer process list with the dll list for the utorrent.exe process please. thelittlefire
Well "many" people don't have this issue. SOME people with specific programs have it. That's where http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software comes in....Something is changing the data at the beginning or end of your media. Usual causes are indexers for both specifically media and files. Are all those processes expected? Do you really use that registry "booster"? Could you try stopping all unnecessary processes? Services can be accessed, stopped, disabled from start > run > services.msc
