Ultima
There are utilities to do this, but you also need to know the codec used.
Firon
No you don't.Get VirtualDub, open the first AVI; then use "Append avi segment", pick the second segment.Video -> Direct Stream CopyAudio -> Direct Stream CopyFile -> Save as AVI, save with a new filename. BloodStaindHurricane
I use the process that Firon mentioned above ALL the time w/ excellent results.
silverfire
The problem is that certain media files come in non-AVI format.Personally, my favorite method is using AviSynth:DirectShowSource("X:\Folder Name\filename.00.ext") + DirectShowSource("X:\Folder Name\filename.01.ext") + etc...Put that in a .avs file and open it using your favorite media player Seamlessly joins any media you're capable of playing. splintax
Silverfire: your method works nicely, but I prefer Firon's (I also use it all the time) since that way you don't have to regenerate an avs script everytime you want to play it, and you can send it on to other people without them having to know how to use AVS. Firon
You can use the avs method for MKV/OGM stuff, I guess. There's probably modded versions of VirtualDub that support MKV and OGM though
splintax
I think VirtualDubMod might support OGM..
