uTorrentFan_1989
I would like to mention a real problem. In v1.8.1. the network status/condition indicator does not appear. However, if you click where the indicator used to be, the Speed Guide appears.
DreadWingKnight
Well, you failed to mention if you had any active torrents.
uTorrentFan_1989
Since it was after setting up the whole system, I had no active torrents. But, as it found a node, the indicator should have appeared to ensure that I have a proper connection. Firon
No status can be given without at least one active torrent.
Greg Hazel
uTorrent can work without a mapped port. So, it's hard to define a proper connection. If the swarm is beyond 1 or 2 peers, chances are one of them is connectible regardless of port mapping on your side. Try running a torrent and see - if it can't work with that swarm it will indicate that to you.
uTorrentFan_1989
I gave it a try and it finally works.Does the current version (1.8.1) support the P4P development?
Switeck
No, the P4P development is an attempt to destroy BitTorrent.
uTorrentFan_1989
What about the speed? It is said that P4P downloads 80% faster, and uses small distances during the download of the pieces, if possible.
