Mystiqq
Right after updating to latest 1.8.3, i started to get this on my firewall? Is uTorrent the source of this?
moogly
It's a malware identified as an adware:http://www.prevx.com/filenames/X1270615553624728062-X1/TOOLBARREGTOOL.EXE.htmlYou have to remove it to clean your computer.
Mystiqq
I'm aware what it is and cleaning it up right now, however i'm just bit curious if this originated from uTorrent 1.8.3 installation or not.
DreadWingKnight
If you got uTorrent 1.8.3 from somewhere other than our download page or the built-in check for updates feature, it MAY have.No telling what other sites are sneaking in. Firon
Doesn't toolbarregtool belong to the Ask.com toolbar? If so, you chose to install it in the installer (last page, where there's a checkbox to install the ask.com toolbar).
Mystiqq
Yea i think its the Toolbar, i just ran Firefox on the machine i installed uTorrent on and it did have the toolbar. I actually did uncheck the two boxes, but only read "i agree..." part of the third checkbox and left it checked. Stupid me.
Firon
It's not malicious, but it does sound like something you don't want, so go ahead and give Ask an uninstall.
