Oxwil
I always wondered why many peers used µTorrent 1.8.2 while there is the option to automatically check for updates by default. My question was answered when I visited a friend of mine. He used 1.8.2 & I asked µTorrent to check for update but it reported that it is the latest version.I ask you to look into this for the best interests of the µTorrent users. moogly
I know there is a waiting duration between the release of a new version and the auto-update.Anyway there are many 1.8.2 RC versions since the 1st release (1.8.2 14153), the latest stable being 15357. So maybe the auto-update is on only from 1.8.2 15357 and off from previous 1.8.2 (I have 14458 and no auto-update is available).I know there was a bug in server script about that between 1.8.1 & 1.8.2.In addition 1.8.3 is still updated with bugfixes (installer, Ask bar etc) so maybe BitTorrent is waiting for a 'real' 1.8.3 stable before auto-updating. Oxwil
Well... 1.8.3 is the latest stable release with some other BETA in development, I think.Let's wait for a reply from the developers.

Oxwil
Really troublesome. Hope this problem is not affecting the latest 1.8.3 either...
DreadWingKnight
for 1.8.2, this is a non-bug.We haven't put it on the general auto-updater.
Oxwil
Why haven't you put on the general auto-updater?
Firon
1.8.3 is currently on a staggered rollout to reduce load on the servers. Only some users will get the update (and more will every day), though by next week everyone will.
