totalz
I think back to the v1.81, if I set the cache size to 1.2GB, uTorrent will fill up the cache before writing to disk. But the latest version does not! This is my current setting on v2.0 (b1790), Win7 x64:
rafi
404 file not found...Maybe it was fixed on 2.0x ? ... On second thought you better stick to 2.0 and not upgrade yet ... At least it does not crash on Win 7...

Switeck
If you're downloading, uTorrent tries to copy from cache to disk at a "reasonable" rate to avoid filling up the cache. Only unfinished pieces typically remain in cache, and those should be few relative to the size of the torrent.READ cache on the other hand should fill up to max if you seed long/fast enough. totalz
Thanks moogly!@Switeck, in my case I have enough ram to spare. And writing to hdd with large chuck of continuous data would be more efficient. Anyway, I find that System is continuously writing to hdd for utorrent! May be an option like writing out finished pieces when cache usage reaches 90%, I know there's a risk on losing huge chunk of data in power loss. But a good risk for extending hdd life. Switeck
Constant activity for a hard drive is far easier on it than spin-up/spin-down cycles.
