kspellman
I've run several tests and they tell me my port is open but I haven't uploaded anything in about a week. Is there something I can do to fix this? Please help!
DreadWingKnight
Is there anyone to upload to?
kspellman
I would think so...is it common to go an entire week without uploading anything? I mean I'm pretty new to this uploading business so I don't know if it is or not. I just wondering if there was something I could do from my end to fix it because normally I'm uploading various torrents all day long.
DreadWingKnight
What numbers do you have for the X of Y (Z in swarm) for peers on the general tab with the offending torrents highlighted individually?
Switeck
Is the tracker/s working ok?
kspellman
The one I have highlighted now says:Seeds: 0 of 17 connected (39 in swarm) Is that what you're talking about? Sorry I'm so illiterate..The tracker status is "working" but the DHT, Local Peer Discovery and Peer Exchange are all "Not Allowed"
paintball9
Seeds already have the file, peers are the ones you need to worry about, if there are any less than about 10 peers than the torrent is probably over seeded and you won't be able to upload anything because the people downloading don't actually need anyone else to upload to them.http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/beginners-guide

kspellman
Peers: 0 of 56 Connected (2 in swarm) That's what the one I have highlighted says.
DreadWingKnight
Yeah, there's basically no one to upload to if the seeds have an inversely high number of "in swarm"
kspellman
Is that common? I have over 800 torrents and haven't uploaded anything in over a week. It just seems like something's not right on my end...
DreadWingKnight
Except there's nothing wrong on your end except for attempting to seed on overseeded torrents.
Switeck
Verify uTorrent isn't firewalled -- if it is, unfirewall it! Check uTorrent's settings (versus 1st and 2nd links in my signature). Bad settings can cause terrible speeds.
